  1. Jake E. Lee was the essential bridge to the future for Ozzy and Sharon. His guitar work on BATM and The Ultimate Sin was most likely an expression of pent-up creativity that spilled out onto the floor of Shron and Ozzy’s mess after the unfortunate and heartbreaking disaster of losing Randy. Instead of treating Jake like an honest contributor to the welfare and growth of the band, they used him to cover Ozzy’s vomit and Sharon’s hysteria over what was going to happen next. Jake’s work on BATM, including, especially, the exit work on the title song enabled Ozzy’s fans to move forward together with him and Sharon after Randy. May God bless all of them. It was a difficult and confusing time. But the work, excellence and contributions offered by Jake E. Lee on those albums was absolutely remarkable, and generally the reason why Ozzy’s music remained relevant during the period that followed the tragedy of losing Randy.
